balmy city wind
the sky darkens above me
summer is nearing
On New Year's Day 2010, I began this ritual of writing one haiku a day and posting it to this blog. The inspiration for this act is to take a moment each day and stop to reflect and distill perhaps a pure memory. This has helped me slow down a bit and savour the texture of my days. I am find myself starting to synthesize my experience visually, emotionally and spiritually. It is an anchor in an otherwise unpredictable sea.
